Then it turned out the legal advice was that Labour could not place an education tax on independent schools as it would not be allowed by the ECHR. So they dropped it.

Now Sir Kier reckons he can twist the arm of his old legal mates to get it through. However, we will see if the ECHR sticks firm or can be swayed by the left. If Labour goes ahead then the ECHR are more than likely to say it isn't allowed then compensation could run into trillions.
